"Dinamo" Guaranteed the Third Qualifying Round of Champions League

At the second qualifying round of Champions League “Dinamo” Tbilisi faced “Streymur” of Faroe Islands and beat it 6:1. Now the Georgians can think about the next opponent.

“Dinamo” had advantage at the beginning of the first half but could not score goal. The most interesting moments occurred in the last 5 minutes. At the 19th minute Irakli Dzaria was injured and he left the field.

At the 40th minute Xisco shot the ball toward the penalty area of the Faroese and Ustaritz advanced “Dinamo” – 1:0. At the 42nd minute Levi Hanssen shot the ball, Loria made a mistake and Darko Glisic scored an own goal. But soon, at the 43rd minute, Dvali scored goal – 2:1.

At the beginning of the second half the Faroese goalkeeper could not catch the ball in the hands and Merebashvili scored goal. At the 59th minute Dvali missed a chance to score a double from a short distance. At the 61st minute Arnbjorn Hansen had a good chance of scoring goal but missed it.

At the 72nd minute Elguja Grigalashvili scored his debut goal at European tournament. At the 74th minute Grigalashvili assisted Xisco who scored goal – 4:1.

At the 77th minute Vouho of Cote d’lvoire scored goal – 5:1. After some combination, African Vouho scored his second goal – 6:1. The next match will be held in a week.

Post-match press conference:

Runi Nolsoe: “It was a tough match from the beginning. When we were scored the second goal it turned out decisive. We could have equalized but Hansen could not a good moment. After that “Dinamo” gained control”.

- Was the second goal the reason of losing with such score?

- When the score became 3:1 our football players lost concentration. Besides that, they were tired because it was hot and they are not used to play in such weather. However the main reason of failure was losing of concentration.

- Can we say that “Streymur” finished playing at Champions League?

- We must score 5 goals which is not easy against “Dinamo”. I will be satisfied if we win the next match.

Dusan Uhrin: “The start of the match was tough. Our opponent played quite well. It can be said that the goal of Dvali turned out decisive. When the score was 1:1 we were a bit afraid. I want to win the next match too”.

- How serious is the injury of Irakli Dzaria?

- Dzaria will not be able to play in the next match. Tomorrow we will find out how serious his injury is. He was injured in the match against “Gagra” and it got worsened now. I think Grigalashvili replaced Dvali well today.

- When Dvali left the field, the play of “Dinamo” became more open.

- It is true. We scored 4 goals after that but we did not make a tactic change because Dvali and Vouho are central forwards.

- Will those players who received yellow cards play in the next match?

- It is hard to say who will play in the next match. I do not care who received yellow cards. We have players and we can replace them.

- Did you expect such easy win after the first half?

- I believed that we would win with big score.
