Georgian women’s tennis team lost the second match in the first group of Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone which is underway in the city of Israel, Eilat. The Georgian girls with captain Maka Chakhnashvili played against Croatia and lost 0:3 again.

In the first match Sofia Kvatsabaia (No.459) lost to Ana Konjuh (873) 0:6, 0:6. Chakhnashvili lost to Donna Vekic (93) 0:6, 1:6. In doubles draw Ekaterine Gorgodze (523) and Sofia Shapatava lost to Darija Jurak (931) and Tereza Mrdeza (189) 3:6, 2:6.

In the last match of Group A, the Georgian team will play against Austrian team which lost both matches. The last placed team will be found out in this match.
