Former Goalkeeper of "Sheriff": "Tarkhnishvili is a Great Man"

Stepan Sikac, goalkeeper of “Volgar” Astrakhan, which participates in the Russian First Division, remembered the period spent in “Sheriff” Tiraspol and highlighted the importance of Vazha Tarkhnishvili for Moldovan club.

“Vazha Tarkhnishvili remains as one of the symbols of “Sheriff”. He has a huge Georgian soul. He played for “Sheriff” in 1999-2012 and was a captain of the team. He is unusually frank person. Vazha helped everyone, young and foreigners. This player was respected by everyone in the team and in the city. I was still a boy when I used to come to watch his play. And then I was lucky enough and I joined “Sheriff”, Vazha helped me in everything. He was encouraging and admonishing me. It was important for 17-year-old boy such attitude of the captain. When the negotiations began with “Terek”, I told him everything. I remember, that we trained, had dinner, he took me to my home and blessed me the way. He is a great man. He is still with the team and holds the position of sports director”, - Eurosport.ru reports the words of Sikac.

Sikac played for “Terek” in 2008-2012, and before the current season he joined “Volgar”.
